Raised in Chicago, USA, and a Professor at the University of Virginia in his younger days, he speaks perfectly the language of Shakespeare. In addition, Mr. Kitagawa knows western culture to the heart. He was introduced by the amazing Dr. Takayama, a friend of Mrs. Mitsuo Shiote, a foundation member. Mrs. Shiote assembled everyone at the Foreign correspondent Club of Japan on that day. Miss Nobuko, the foundation’s international correspondent, was also here. Mr. Kitagawa is set to become the foundation’s first Honorary Chairman and receiver of the first “World-Peace Ambassador Award-Title” at the Marine Foundation.
