A meeting with Yuka and Takuya regarding the doctors network to Africa and corporate membership system that should apply to inviting companies to corporate membership.

Reports:

There are indeed many ways of involving the companies of a region to participate in the support of human developing societies. The goal would be that great companies around the world would become involved not just in charity but also into pragmatic strategies that can help a region to grow its level of education or support the local efforts to grow the regional economy. However, to get a financial involvement from anyone would also mean to provide benefits that would give sound purpose to a sense of wanting to give.

Today we met an employee of Win-Medics who came representing the president Mr. Shiraki whose absence was in consequence of a bad cold. I appreciated so much the initiative of our members Yuka and Takuya A. who sincerely came with many good concept ideas to set administration for the corporate membership as described in our system (click on the photo below this report).

To me, it was a wonderful moment of sharing and being inspired. Sumi was also present as she just returned from Europe on a PR mission meeting with wonderful people. I will elaborate more on the corporate membership of the Marine Foundation and precisely the effect of the concept of the Green Certificate to invite anyone onto the Marine Foundation’s corporate and sponsor’s platform.

Special day surprise invited Ayumi and I for dinner where they celebrated Ayumi’s birthday (February 1) in advance. Kiko is a childhood friend. Celebrating is always the best way to get together and give credits to both past and future.

Reports:

Today was a special day. Indeed it was Ayumi”s birthday. I met Ayumi around the year 1998-1999 when I was in South of France. We met in the city of Antibes where I lived near the beach there, at the time. Soon after we met, my daughter Athena was conceived and we decided to return to Japan when she turned 1 year old. 

Since the conception of the Marine Foundation, at the birth of our son Zeus, some 16 years ago, Ayumi has shown constant support and great endurance. I remember that at the time I gave up everything to try imagining something like the Marine Foundation, which name at the time we did not even know. It was a long process of going from one stage to another and trying to cope with the expensive Japanese lifestyle of raising children in Tokyo. I would say that with comparing with the life of most businessmen around me, ours was pretty uncommon to fulfill. When you have a monthly salary, it is easier to plan ahead I suppose. But in my case I have to go month by month, not knowing for sure what would happen if something went wrong. However, nothing went wrong and we caught our way out of building the most amazing project which transpires the Marine Foundation today.

Therefore, I would say how grateful I am to Ayumi who has always swell managed to stake care of the children despite the crazy pioneer that I was at the inception of the organization on March 11, 2013. It has been times when we wanted to go on vacation just like everybody else and going to France and meet my mother was always on my mind. Today in 2019, things have changed of course and great fortune is smiling at our door.  Nevertheless remembering the hardship brings nostalgia to the heart and sometimes I would feel that I would not mind to start it all over again. In fact, today is not yet Ayumi’s birthday but it was celebrated today due to the invitation to her best friend Kiko. So it was a fantastic day of remembrance and a new start for our little family.

Sponsors are organized into 3 label membership categories: RED, BLUE, and GOLD. This system helps filter the membership in the content and purpose of how a company plans to use the Marine Foundation’s event and network platforms and, regardless of the size of the business or corporation. Respect for life and environment is the standard by which we portray high moral of good ethical conduct. Therefore, prior to any membership adhesion, a company must receive the “Green Certificate” as a mark receiving a free endorsement benefit from the Marine Foundation. The Green Certificate is the endorsement recognizing “Leadership, Integrity & Inspiration” and allows a company to market itself with a presence with the Marine Foundation. Generally, this means an affiliation with the Marine Foundation is its commitment to peace, education and the well being of children and societies throughout the world.

私たち人間も自然の中の一部である – by Yoko

 

植物も動物も風や雲や太陽もジャッジしない。
それぞれが、ありのままの姿でいて、お互いに尊重し合っている
そんな世界にいると、自然と落ち着きます。
自然の中がこんなに美しいように、人間も美しい。
他者との違いを区別したり、知らないことを遠ざけるのではなく、違いを知り受け入れる事は、とても興味深いです。

私は葭原滋男さんと2006年に出逢いました。私はそれまで視覚障碍者の方との関わりを持ったことがありませんでした。
彼は、当時、私が住んでいた家の近くでブラインドサッカーの練習をしていました。私が初めて練習を見に行った時、彼は「何かしてあげるという気持ちなら、来ないで。一緒に楽しみたいと思うならまた来て欲しい。」と私に言いました。
私には何かしてあげようという気持ちはなく、私に何が出来るのかもわかりませんでした。何故なら私はサッカーをやったことがないし、見えないことの意味を実体験としてわからないからです。私は、ただ、楽しそうだからという理由だけで彼らに関わることにしました。そこには、私の世界とは全く別の人達がいて、私は彼らからたくさんの刺激を受け、私が知らなかった多くを学びました。
彼らの個性、感性、見え方、考え方、在り方、世界観、勇気、面白さ、などたくさんのことがあります。

彼は言います。「私はオリンピックで金メダルを手にすることは出来なかっただろう。でも、パラリンピックだったから、選手層も薄いし、金メダルを手にすることが出来た。だから、見えないことに感謝している。」
もちろん、彼は平日にはサラリーマンとして働いていましたから、彼は時間を作る工夫をして練習をしたことは言うまでもありません。

更に、彼は言います。「自分たちは特別じゃない。ただ、見えないだけ。見えないことを嘆き悲しむより、何が出来るか、どうやったらいいかを考え、チャレンジしていくのが楽しい。」

面白いエピソードや名言もたくさんあります。関わるほどに、彼らは障碍者ではなく、一つの個性であることを実感しました。
私は、彼らから学んだ素晴らしい世界を、もっとたくさんの人にそれを感じとって欲しいし、シェアしたいと思っています。

無知による区別をすることなく、私たち人間も自然の中の一部であるという意味で、みんな同じであることをみんなで体感で着たら嬉しいです。
