Presidents of Marine Foundation Meet with the Bank of Africa

Meeting with Account Manager Mr. Maxime A. Assomou

Marine Foundation and SCI Marine (an agency of the Marine Foundation) are both registered into the BOA Banque of Africa in Abidjan. It was a wonderful pleasure to meet Director and Account Manager Mr. Assomou, who had the courtesy to make us feel very welcome. It is very important for the Marine Foundation to share its vision with the establishments we would work with since our purpose needs to be known as to the support of the development of economy wherever the organization is registered. Mr. Assomou was very pleased to hear of us, Mrs. Koura N. Ouattara President of Africa and Mr. Tomeo M-Gressard, founder.

BOA is a well-established bank in the continent and is partly owned by the BMCE bank. It has banking operations in 18 African countries.  In 2008, Banque Marocaine du Commerce Exterieur (BMCE) took a 35% shareholding interest in AFH, which had rebranded to Bank of Africa Group, bringing much needed financial capital and banking expertise to the group.

Meeting the Governor of Abidjan

Meeting the Governor of Abidjan

Meeting His Excellency Beugre Mamber, Governor of Abidjan.

His Excellency Governor Beugre Mambe

Just before the event, (Grand Opening Marine Foundation Africa) His Excellency Govern of Abidjan had the kindness to make time for a short welcoming session together. He clearly mentioned that the Marine Foundation’s vision is suited to the region and therefore we are so welcome to start operations here. Projects that mean good for the city are most expected and notably in the realm of education.

His Excellency has a background in civil engineering, it is going convenient to bring to Abidjan with the best feasibility study group from Japan I am aware of. Abidjan is a beautiful city and I can clearly understand the ambition of pulling the city to become a haven for tourism and a place of great gatherings.

To be here today, on such short notice was truly a blessing and I can really appreciate all that our President Mrs. Ouattara has done to make this possible, alongside President Siama Bamba. I really look forward to the development of the port Abidjan and its maritime industries.

Cote D’Ivoire’s Majestuous Grand Opening Ceremony in Abidjan

Amazing Grand-Opening ceremony for the Marine Foundation Africa through Cote d’Ivoire & Mrs. Koura N. Ouattara.

It was something that I did not expect in the greatness in came about and the surprises that came along minutes by minutes on the beautiful day of February 20, 2019. The organization of the event was perfect and I was moved by everyone who came there and especially the organizers who ranged from government officials to business leaders and many dignitaries. What was most heartfelt was the children represented by Manuella Ouattara who came and delivered a speech of the heart.

We were blessed for the event to be sponsored with the presence of Her Excellency Professor Mariatou Kone, Minister of Solidarity, Social Cohesion and the Fight Against Poverty. She was so graceful in delivering a very powerful speech announcing the activities of the Marine Foundation Cote D’Ivoire and Africa.

I was also blessed to have a very special encounter with the Governor of Abidjan, His Excellency Beugre Mambe,  who was most graceful spending a little time together in the sharing of the future with the Marine Foundation. But there were so many wonderful guests and even friends who had come from other countries like Senegal, Mr. Matar Diop Kane representing the foundation there.

I will forever cherish that first moment of stepping onto African soil, the motherland, where I believe everything will take place to solve the problems of the world. Africa is the future and Cote d’Ivoire is to me a most beautiful country in the world. It has everything it needs to become an economic power and a place where all the educational project of the Marine Foundation can take form. It has the heart of Africa through its serein and beautiful people who truly represents a nation filled with kindness and traditional virtues. I was so pleased to be welcomed, in the ways of true respect and real genuine effort of making this a wonderful start of operation for the Marine Foundation, in the extent of encouraging us to do our very best.

Opening prayer with Bishop Ouattara Mohamed Idriss who deliver the most powerful opening statement. Bishop has churches around the world and is prominent with his own media group in the set up of cable news channels.

The Honor of the Sponsorship of Her Excellency Minister Mariatou Kone

Madame Minister Her Excellency Mariatou Kone became the “Marraine” of the event and presented her full support to the ceremony. Her speech of great emphasis on encouraging the Marine Foundation in socio-economic development for the region, was a message of hope and support. The Marine Foundation will fully join in supporting her ministry with all the beautiful programs we are designed to conduct.

TV Reports

There has been several TV reports and it all has been so positive. This particular report is credited to Bishop Ouattara whose TV station has been very kind in sharing the footage on the day’s event.

The President of “La Region Bagoue“:

His Excellency President Siama Bamba

President Bamba has been all help and supports much before and after the event. His region in the north is in full development with agriculture the main industry. Truly appreciated from beginning to end, I found here a brother and a great partner to well being of our endeavors in Africa.

Government of Abidjan:

Vice-Governor Samuel Mobio

I do not have all the names yet although the team in Abidjan is preparing all the data but there was so many nice people coming to our support in the preparation of the event. I found myself in the midst of new friends and supporters and quite frankly, very beautiful people. My French speaking is not as eloquent as the people there and I had to really think up my words translated from English.

Government Delegate:

President Karamoko Abdel Kader

Honorable Diomande Mamadou, an extraordinary gentleman who also put his cars to our disposition while our trip to Abidjan before and after the ceremony. I will always be ever so grateful. (Next to him the dignitary Lady Madame Toure).

Deputy of the City of Seguela:

Honorable Diomande Mamadou

I salute Honorable Diomande Mamadou, an extraordinary gentleman who also put his cars to our disposition while our trip to Abidjan (photo below). I will always be ever so grateful. (Next to him the Dignitary Lady Madame Toure).

Honoring Our Queen, the person who made it all possible:

President of Cote D’Ivoire, Headquarters for Africa, Her Excellency Koura N. Ouattara

President Koura N. Ouattara has pioneered the way for Marine Foundation to establish in Africa for about five years of patience, endurance and reflection. The Marine Foundation concept is something that does not come out of the ordinary and working through the vision for a stable and ensuring start was not an easy task. We are so grateful that on February 20, 2019, of this day, her vision came true with the help and support of those sacrificial volunteers who truly came to the rescue and those whose hopes are firmly grounded in the development of Africa, for African, by Africa, and from Africa.

Children Ambassador of Marine Foundation Africa: Princess Manuela Ouattara

Princess Manuela, Children Ambassador

At Marine Foundation, we call children from 5 to 16 years of age with the appellation of “Prince” or “Princess”. This is the concept of a corporate kingdom where all children are blessed as the owners of the future. To affirm the protection of humanity, we need to understand that children are the rightful inheritance of the creation and they need to be treated as preciously as we care for our life. Marine Foundation has engineered a program to bring all children to absolute safety and care.

Marinef Ministry of Art Education:

Artist Jospin Lohanga Exposes at the Event

I cannot tell you how happy I was to finally meet the amazing Jospin! This was to me a great revelation and the discovery of what Africa represents to world cultures. All we would ever want to know about life itself is written through the soil of Africa the Motherland, and Jospin knows how to express it so abundantly through his art. We are so grateful he was here to offer glorify the day.

A Perfect Gift

It is during his stay in Abidjan and while preparing for the event that Jospin dedicated his talent to supporting the Marine Foundation with the offering of a masterpiece portrait to Her Excellency Minister Mariatou Kone. This is to say how much everyone went out of their way to participate in making this event even more beautiful. At the entrance hall of the Hotel de Ville, several pieces were in display for the world to see.

Thank You Abidjan! Thank You for the Most Amazing Welcome into the Motherland!

Ceremonial Coronation as Traditional Chief (Chef Coutunier)

Although the Marine Foundation comes to bring new educational system around the world, my own education started the day I landed in Cote d’Ivoire Africa. I have never seen anything like it and I probably never will again. I was honored with the title of “Chief of Tradition” a very high tribal ranking in the country, rarely given to anyone. What a surprise! as it was indeed unexpected.

Thanks to the Beautiful Staff!

Thanks to You Mrs. President Koura N. Ouattara!

Truly and I will always wonder how our President Mrs. Outtara was able to put to light such an organization in view of the superb event on February 20th, 2019. This is one of those miracles which only heaven can explain. Please enjoy the rest of the photos below.

CCI of Cote D’Ivoire

CCI of Cote D’Ivoire

Meeting Vice-President Maguiraga Bakary, The Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Cote D’Ivoire.

His Excellency Vice President Bakary Maguraga

Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cote D’Ivoire is truly the providential call for a great Brother to the Marine Foundation since most of his desires for his country matches the Marine Foundation’s programs in design, programs, and application. Furthermore, Vice President Maguraga is so well acquainted with the fishing industry as involved with the type of commerce for the past 30 years before he became Vice-President of the Chamber.

I truly felt here the heart of Cote D’Ivoire’s real potential for growth along with the development of its economy. Marine Foundation has engineered a few commercial initiatives which first starts as programs through “agency set up”. Therefore the Marine Development Agency (MDA) which promises to help boost the economy through a transfer of technologies and establish a “Made in Africa” brand product development. This kind of planning does not exist anywhere and we would be so proud to demonstrate the procedure in our beautiful headquarters of Africa which represents Cote D’Ivoire and the Leadership of President Koura N. Ouattara. But always alongside with helping us with meeting all these incredible people, our marvelous brother, His Excellency President Siama Bamba, stood by our side. (Photo on the right)

Health Minister Cote d’Ivoire

Health Minister Cote d’Ivoire

Meeting His Excellency Dr. Eugene Aka Aouelle, Minister of Health in Cote d’Ivoire.

Today, one of the first meetings on my first day in Abidjan, was the honor to meet with the Minister of Health, His Excellency Dr. Eugene Aka Aouele. A great revelation indeed and certainly a most important person in Africa where lots of our projects and programs are directed towards health and medical sciences. I was happy to introduce some of the geniuses in Japan who have come with some solutions with problems such as Malaria and HIV. It would be up to me to bring these people to Africa but firstly we would develop a strategy to announce, protect and publicize the arrival of such people through our “Health Development Agency”, which is a Marine Foundation agency.

Dr. Aouele was very receptive to our programs concept and certainly, he did mention he would welcome our efforts to support his ministry. Truly, I felt it would difficult such high-status government person, but realizing this is due to the great dexterity of our President Koura N. Ouattara, and her graceful communication, that everything is made possible, and therefore allowing the Marine Foundation to operate in this marvelous country.  After our meeting the Minister had to fly to Ghana, regretting that the could not attend the next day ceremony at the town hall of Abidjan. Truly it was a warm welcome from His Excellency’s office and I am always touched by the humility and kindness demonstrated to a person like me, a “new kid in the block” might we say, nevertheless, here with a great system planning for good of the country.

Amazing Welcome in Abidjan

Amazing Welcome in Abidjan

The Most Heartfelt Welcome in Abidjan: Unforgettable

Unforgettable welcome in Abidjan. Thanks to Mrs. Ouattara and His Excellency Governor Siama Bamba.

Of course, I was advised in advance that there would be a reception upon my arrival in Abidjan, but I have never thought in my wildest dreams that it would be as what I have seen. I am so grateful for such a beautiful heart from such beautiful people. Koura N. Ouattara our president in Cote d’Ivoire had thought of everything, and supported by the wonderful Governor of the region, His Excellency Bamba, it made it all so official and really at the level of great diplomacy as seen on presidential welcoming sessions. This was really something.

What was most touching to the heart was the children and their offerings of flowers. Some of them in traditional costumes and others, like the 2 daughters of Koura wearing the cap and shirts with Marine Foundation’s logos on it. There are many people to introduce and most of them in the photos below but I will carefully run through the names as soon as I settle a little more time in making sure I am not making spelling errors.

From the airport, we drove to the “Golf Hotel Abidjan” where I will be staying for 4 nights. Truly it was also the making the President Bamba who gave his unconditional support to Koura. Amazing. Just amazing and therefore I do not have many words to speak except a deep feeling of gratefulness and joy to be present here in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.

President of Marine Foundation Headquarters Cote D’Ivoire, Madame Koura N. Ouattara. Also an amazing support from the Lady Officer at the customs.

Special reception of our Communication director, Mademoiselle Emmanuelle Zile and Assistant to President Mr. Emmanuel Hounsou. They were everywhere and always in good coordination to perfectly support our President Mrs. Ouattara. Thank you so much for the hard work.

Our most sincere salutation to the amazing welcoming committee:

Madame Touré, Mr. Cissé, Mr. Hervé Adjogoua, Mr. Mamadou Diomandé, Mr. Massandjé, Mr. Haidara, Mr. Jules Gervais, Président Kader, Mr. Souleymane Bamba, Mr. Alassane Koné. Communications: Emmanuelle Zile, Assiatant to President: Emmanuel Hounsou, and Mr. Miessan in coordination (photo below ) – Mr. Messian was really so graceful in wearing the Marine polo, cap and badges.

No words can rightfully express the welcoming at the airport where even the customs officer was also part of the celebration. There was nothing I could say or do to really show how grateful and surprised I was. This is something I will never forget as long as I live and to me, here, in the Cote D’Ivoire, we learn that “education” starts right from the heart. Africa is rich with traditions and that alone is a show of great sophistication in the way children are raised. Something that we do not see in the Occident yet where even the highest of diplomats would make way to welcome a person as simple as me. I have so much to learn from Africa and my educational process started right at the airport of Abidjan. They show gratefulness for the Marine Foundation’s concept and to me this is something I have never felt from populace in Japan or elsewhere, except of course, individually from our dear members in Australia, Mr. and Mrs. Clark, and other places, to whom I am offering, and to all the first volunteers of our group, the resulting effect of what I promised would happen through Africa.

The noble society of the country came beautiful presented by the fabulous Madame Toure who displayed all the grace and beauty I needed to see on my arrival, that adding the children. This also accentuated by some VIP people such as Mr Cissé, Mr. Hervé Adjogoua, Mr. Mamadou Diomandé, Mr. Massandjé, Mr. Haidara, Mr. Jules Gervais, Président Kader, Mr. Souleymane Bamba, and Mr. Alassane Koné

President Siamia Bamba, was the most remarquable support with the amazing service of completely assisting our President Mrs. Ouattara from beginning to end. His Excellency Bamba is President of the Region “La Region Bagoue” in the north of Cote d’Ivoire. This is a region filled with agricultural wealth and products. Not only was he helpful but also a person of great character with a heart of gold. Truly it was an honored to be welcomed by such personalities.

Truly and I will always wonder how our President Mrs. Outtara was able to put to light such an organization in view of the superb event on February 20th, 2019. This is one of those miracles which only heaven can explain. Please enjoy the rest of the photos below.
