Position Yourself Like the Sun: A Reflection on Life’s Journey
Every day, we witness the sunrise due to the Earth’s rotation on its axis. As our planet spins from west to east, different regions are bathed in sunlight, marking the transition from night to day. While it appears as though the sun is rising and setting, it is actually the Earth’s movement that creates this illusion.
The sun itself is also in motion, though on a grander scale. It rotates around its axis approximately every 25 to 30 days and orbits the center of the Milky Way galaxy, taking about 225-250 million years to complete one galactic year. Additionally, the sun moves relative to nearby stars, a motion known as its “proper motion.” Despite seeming fixed in the sky, the sun is constantly on the move.
Drawing a parallel between the celestial and the personal, the sun can be seen as a symbol of the spiritual or heavenly realm, while the water planet represents our physical existence and the formative stages of our creation. As individuals, we all seek happiness and harmony, balancing the material world with our inner world of emotions and desires for excitement and discovery.
As we age, our perspective shifts. We become more observant and feel a stronger urge to give rather than receive, much like the gravitational force that pulls everything toward its center.
