A big shout out to our Propel men’s & women’s team, community members, and volunteers who relentlessly clean the beaches every Saturday. Never give up…You all might ask: Do beach cleanups matter if the amount of plastic going into the ocean is more than what’s collected during a beach cleanup? 

Today we all picked up trash together. There was a lot of garbage in the gaps between the rocks. In one hour, the plastic bag was full of 10 bags. We want to separate the trash next time. I did my best to wear the T-shirts that everyone made. I regularly collect garbage at Mizumoto Park.

Week in review: I met the coach of the Paralympic Gambia team. His name is Danso, and I had the chance to meet him in Tokyo just before departure back to his country along with his five-member team. I drove 500 kilometers to meet him since I was in Osaka, and it was worth every single minute of traveling.
